Pictured: Original antique: Height 16" (40.64 cm.) Lightly pink-tinted porcelain shoulderhead with perfectly oval face, slightly elongated throat, brown sculpted hair waved from face in softly rolled curls and having large white sculpted bow at the crown, painted facial features, small blue downcast eyes with well-defined eyelids, arched brown brows, aquiline nose, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain lower limbs, lovely blue and gold silk gown, undergarments, heeled kid slippers. Marks: 399 W. Comments: Koniglich-Bayerische Porcelain in Nymphenburg, early 20th century. A very limited edition of porcelain dolls were presented at the 1908 Munich Art Doll Exhibition, designed as "decoration dolls", and dressed by the ladies of Munich in various historical costumes.
